few days earlier i was denied B2 visa which was for attending brother's graduation ceremony........I have been preparing for GRE and TOEFEL ......how far this denial would affect my F1 visa issuance..........

What was the reason for denial? If it was immigrant intent, it will unfortunately affect your chances but you should still try.

thanks for replying ...........
but what can i do now ......i mean what should be my aim for gre so that i can reduce chances of F1 visa denial plz guide me..........

GRE will not matter for visa, will matter for getting admission.

You will need to show property, job, family ties etc. You need to prepare a convincing and truthful answer to the question "Will you return to your home country after graduation and why?"

For what it's worth, I had an F-1 visa approved (about 6 years ago) after 2 B-2 denials. The immigration officer asked me about those denials (why did you request a visa on XX/XXXX?), but that was the extent of the scrutiny on the matter. My meeting the requirements for the F-1 (transcripts, test scores, and most importantly finances) seemed to be much more important at the interview. Good luck!
