Applying EAD - Question

Registered Users (C)
Working on H1B and first EAD expired (never used). Applying for EAD renewal at VSC:

1. What is the date you put at column 11 (Have you ever applied...), date applied (Didn't have the first EAD receipt)?

2. Current Immigration Status: AOS Pending and H1B, is this OK?

3. Documents needed (some body said, we need color copies of passport, is this true?)

Replys appreciated (Serious replys please).

1. If you don't have the first EAD receipt, you can put the date on your EAD or the approval date (written on the letter that comes with your first EAD).

2. Adjustment Applicant.

3. A copy of your first EAD (front and back), the upper portion of the letter that comes with your current EAD (-- this will speed up the processing of your EAD application), a copy of your I-485 Receipt, a copy of your I-94 (and/or AP if you've used one).

More info: read the instructions in the EAD packet, downloadable from the USCIS web site: www.immigration.gov - go to 'Forms'.

Good Luck

Thanks, BCIS website says, the photos need to be in a seperate envelope. Do we really need to do that?

I put the EAD ND

"Adjustment of status pending" is fine

I didnot attach my passport copy. It's not asked for & is not required.

I applied for an EAD extension in the last week of Aug'2003 & got the receipt's in the first week of Sep'2003

I sent it through USPS priority mail with acknowledgement notification.

good luck.
