Applying EAD & AP

Hello,

I need to renew my wife's EAD & AP whose I-485 is still pending.
So far my company had paid for these stuff and it was done by a lawyer.

Are there any issues in applying for these on my own? What documents are required for EAD and AP? She has her I-485 receipt notice. I never got my I-140 notice from the lawyer and I don't think he would give me since he might want me to use his services to apply for EAD and AP.

If any of you have renewed EAD & AP on your own please let me know what I need to do.

How to renew EAD

It is very simple to renew you EAD.
This site has all the information you will need : http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/howdoi/ead.htm

You may need the help of a lawyer only if you don't have all the information requested in the Form (I-765).

We renewed our EAD's and applied for AP on our own. As far as I remember, we didn't have to use I-140 notice, just fill out the form and include a copy of I-485 receipt notice, and prior EAD copies.

Did your wife start her 485 application after you--is that why hers is still pending? My husband (my dependent) and I filed at the same time, but he hasn't got his approval notice yet. Mine was approved on 9/10/02. Thank you.
