Applying EAD & AP renewal self without help from Attorney- Good or Bad?

Friends,
I would like apply for my EAD & Advance Parole by self without any help from
Attorney. The reason is, my Attorney is billing my $1000/- just for applying these two. My employer doesn't want to pay for renewal, as he thinks it's my responsibility.
Did any of you applied for the EAD & Advance Parole on you own & got approve without problems? Because this first time to renewal, I just want to be safe side.
Anyone to advice who had similar experience applying for EAD & AP self?
Please advice.

One word response : GOOD !

Many have done it, I have personally applied for my wife and myself and got the approvals. It is a pretty straightforward process, just follow the application instructions. For additional help see the sticky thread on the top of the forum for FAQ's on applying.

My personal preference is for applying via paper rather than efiling.
 
Yes you can apply for both yourself. Very simple and easy to do. Just follow the instructions.
 
I applied myself for AP & EAD and got approved as well, I believe doing it by myself was even faster. This forum is a very good place to get tips on what you need.
