Applying EAD and Advance PAROLE by OWN

My labor got approved last week and I am sending my paperwork everything by this week for filling I-140/485 and I also want to Apply EAD/Advance Parole for me and my wife

My Attorney is charging me additional money for processing

EAD and Advance Parole each $300 for each person for EAD and $300 for each person for Advance Parole, So Total = $1200.

When I asked my Attroney he says there are not included on the Greencard process, These are additional and says if I caanot pay for this he advices me to do-it-by-yourself.

I have to PAY everything from my pocket, And I am planning to ask him that, I will prepere ADVANCE Parole documents and send it to him and he can apply along with -140/485 Process.

Can any one advice
1)Can we do our own Advance parole application ??
2) Will there will be any querry's if I apply Advance Parole and EAD by Attorney??
3) Is it easy to Prepere Advance Parole??

Hi krishna_ps,

Anyone with average prudence can make an application for AP and EAD on his/her own. It is no nuclear science.

Go through all the posts regarding the above in this forum to get an idea about it.

You can post any specific questions that you may have while filling the forms ect. Someone here will be able to guide you if needed.

It is atrocious to pay 1200 hard earned dollars for a simple job like this.

Well...Can I apply EAD through Attorney and Advance parole latter ny myself. Is there any Rule that Advance Parole should be applied to gether???
 
No such rule. It is your choice.

You can apply both yourself. There are many people who did this successfully. I wanted to do it myself but our attorney didn't charge anything extra so I retained her for this service too.

Based upon your suggesttion I sent email to my Attoney if she can attached Attach Advance Parole done by me along with the Packet they are sending to file my I-140/485 !.

I talked to another Famous Attonrey and they said she can take of Rest of my I-140/485 and she says she will not charge for EAD and Advance parole. But I am not happy for the change in Attoney for this because the present lawyer is very fast and responses very fast to me in order to apply for next stage and she is also ready to sent the paper work by monday...I am not at all intrested in wasting one SINGLE day !

If i change Attorney, i feel like they will miss some paper work and unnessary RFE 's will be coming in the future...that's my concern...

Your Advices are Welcome !!

Hi,

The bottom line is the work should be done effectively. If you are comfortable with current attorney, go ahead and retain her. Since time is essence in GC process, I agree with you on your decision to do it at the earliest.


Please discuss everything in detail with your attorney and do what is good for you.

Only Fees should be sent with the Apps

Only EAD fees and AP fees must be included with EAD and AP applications/forms respectively. Usually these application fees are not covered in the fees for the services from the Attorney.
 
AP renewal

I had a question in "Part 2" of the AP form ( I am doing the renewal myself) . I have I-485 pending and is my first renewal .
I am confused between 2 options ( a and d) .
any tips/points to remember on EAD, AP renewal is welcome .
