On this website I'm seeing different approval times for GC petitioners who are filing I-130 for their spouse. Some I-130's get approved in 6 months and some have to wait over 2 yrs for approval. Some only recieve a I-130 initial notice after several years. Is there any logic behind the timelines for I-130 Approvals?

For US Citizens petitioners, the approval time seems to be six months, is this true?

I'm currently a GC holder and have applied for citizenship last month. Don't know if it is better
A) to wait to till I become a citizen and then file I-130 for spouse
B) File I-130 now and hope it gets approved in six months or at least I recieve a I-130 notice to file a K3 when I become a citizen.

Appreciate if any of you can suggest/guide me thru this frustrating n crazy immigration process?

This is the second most asked question in this forum. You could benefit from a little searching before posting...

But, there are 2 schools of thought. Some say, wait until you become a US citizen and some say file now. There isn't really any BIG benefits to filing now, since she would have to wait about 5 years for a PD to become current... but once you are a citizen, you can file for her and a visa would be immediately available... so it really is up to you.
