Apply for US Citizenship after being out of US for 1.5 years

Hello,

I got my Green card in march 2003. I was out of the US for almost 1.5 years in 2007 and returned in 2008 and have been present here since then.

I wanted to know if I am eligible for applying for US Citizenship or I have to wait another 4 years or so.

was this 18 months time out of india at a streach. did u get a re-entry permit, if so after ur entry to usa it will be 4 years and 1 day for u to qualify.
 
Yeah it depends why you were out of the US for. There's a chance they could even say you abandoned the Green Card if you didn't file the correct paper work before leaving...
