Apply for re-entry permit after stay here 2 and half year

Hi,

i got my gc 2006 and will be eligable for apply citizenship in 2011. I was present here 2 and half years .
Now if i apply for 2 year re entry permit and go backhome , are they going to minus my 2 and half year when i will apply for citizenship .

Please provide your in and out dates more clearly.

When you apply for citizenship under the 5 year rule, they are going to look at the last 5 years history. If you apply in June 2011, they will look at time from June 2006 through June 2011. If you apply in June 2015, they will look at time from June 2010 through June 2015. What gets subtracted and added depends on the dates of your trips.
