What to do?

i am married to a US citizen, we are talking, but things are not going well. i call the police one night, because he started slapping me around. right now, i have my own place andi have statred to establish independence, like car, so he cant control me any more. the problem is, that we applied for a for my greencard in october, 2 month after we got married, in august last year.
had received and invitation to the interview for march this year. suddently, tough i received an email update and the status checker on uscis.gov said the following: the sceduled interview in this case has been canceled, you will be notified when the interview is resceduled. i was very upset, and called uscis, they said this is normal, i happend often. consequently, we did not go to the interview,i believe i could have him come with me. (we were dating 3 years before our marriage-i was in germany frequently, so live was not so cohabitat like, as is was as we were married)
suddently though i have received a letter, that my GC has been denied becasue i did not come to the sceduled interview. WTF!? i went to the baltimore office and had them reopen my case, but now i have to way the whole time over again. i am afraid i wont be able to deal with my insame husband any longer.
also i am not sure, if the case reopening went through. because went i enter mt casestaus online it still shows, that the interview is canceld and will be resceduled. how do i know if this office is doing what it is syupposed to do, and is my case in pending???

i was also thinking about applying for battered spouse, but i still have feelings for him and we talk daily- we are there for each other, but we are not living together because it is inpossible. btw, him and his family have pressed charges against me to, things are call. i am not allowed to got to his house, as the court ordered for the sake of peace, for one year. i never hurt anybody or anything, they were just insame and angry after i had called the police. though i am still getting threaten to have legal steps taken against me at all the point in our life.

does anybody have an advice on what to do? should i get a lawyer? i have heared from one lawyer though that i need to be married for 2 years in order to apply for battered spouse gc.

without the interview i am paying out of state tuition a my college too. i really with i would have just went to the interview.

i will be glad about any suggestions. thanks

The issues with the cancellations of interviews, better don't pay attention to those emails unless you received a letter that states so and go to the interview, you did receive an interview letter, right? So go with it.

About your personal case...this is more about a need for a marriage counselor than other thing. Love a person does not mean that you are meant to each other or that you are capable to live with and share spaces.

If things have been getting in the order of police calls and court orders does not matter who is right or wrong, then you should think what type of living you want and move from that point.

Going back to the immigration facts, you can hire a lawyer that can look over your case and make an analysis and how you can go on in your immigration application. And first thing first, you must check out how is your MTR (motion to reopen) and really know what is happening with your case, you should make an infopass to your district office and try to know what is going on, would be better to check with a lawyer before that, so he can go over there with you or if he can make an inquiry.
