The law is ... Before you leave the port you should have the parole and you should enter back by that time.
You might have an AP which is valid for few more months from now, in case you want your kid to be there for a longer period.... apply for a new AP now which will valid for one year from the date of application. Yeah... you have to pay a little extra but that is better than the complexities you might face otherwise....
