Hi everyone,
I got married to a USC. After our marriage, my husband sent I 130 ad G325A form to the USCIS. We decided to send I 485 and other forms after form I 130 is approved, because we want to have more time to prepare those documents. I recently got accepted to an one-year academic program in the US. If I choose to enroll the program, I will have to live far from my husband for a year. I am just wondering whether the fact that we live in different addresses will affect us when we sit for an interview. Do you think that they may interview us separately in different places because we don't live with each other? I am thinking that if it affects us, we will withdraw the I 130 form and reapply when I finish my studying. Do you think there are any problems for us if we choose to do so? I really need some help. Thank you very much.

Are you inside or outside the US? If inside, what type of immigration status do you have? If you're inside the US, why are you waiting for I-130 approval to file the I-485? After filing the I-130 without the I-485, you don't need to wait for I-130 approval, you can send the I-485 with the I-130 receipt.

If you need F-1 status to attend that study program, you probably won't get it because of being married to a USC. So you'll need to apply for the I-485 before you start studying.

If you were living with your husband before that study program, and preserve evidence of communication with and visiting each other frequently during your studies (airline boarding passes and itineraries, train tickets, phone bills, etc.) you'll be OK. Make sure to keep your ID and other important papers (e.g. bank account, credit cards, cellphone bills) tied to your husband's address while you're studying.
