Apply Family Based green card through siblings

For sponsoring a family-based green card through siblings, the sponsor's surname and sibling's surname have one letter with a typo error in the passport and educational documents and one letter typo error in his parent's surname in the sibling's passport. biologically sponsor's and sibling parents are the same. But the documents(Passport and Birth certificates) have one letter that has a typo error. (i.e.: Instead of 'U' it is 'A').

is it possible to sponsor the Green Card through family-based?

if the answer is 'NO'. Do we need to correct the sibling's Surname in the passport and Birth certificate.
