Apply AP without I-485 receipt

I applied I-485 a few days ago, but
have not received receipt yet. Now
I decide to apply for AP. Can I
do that without I-485 receipt? Or
I have to wait for receipt then
apply?

I think I485 receipt is needed for you to apply for AP or EAD
