applied I-130 & I485, do we need to apply for visitor visa extension ?

We applied for GC I-485 & I130 simultaneously for my mother in law. She entered the US on a visitor visa. Her I-94 allows her to stay until Apr-9 2011. Do we need to apply for extension of visa and state that we have applied for GC as reason of extension or will she still be in status (and continue residence legally) since we applied for her Green Card.

The clock stops when she has filed for AOS. She will not be able to extend her visitors visa once she has an AOS application active. If she is denied, however, she will accrue any overstay days that she has after the 9th of April.
