Applied for I765, approved but no EAD yet

Hello,

I applied for my EAD card based on the I-765 application and according to the online case status it says that the application was approved on April 14. 2005 and an "approval notice" has been mailed to me.

However as of today (April 28, 2005) i haven't received the approval notice yet. I called them up and they said that i should wait for another 10 days.

My question is whether the EAD card comes with the "approval notice". If not, then the chances of both being lost in the mail are very slim and that i should atleast receive something.

Furthermore, i haven't changed my address and have verrified my address with them. I even received the Receipt Notice back in march to the same address.

I can't apply again should the EAD card get lost and would i be able to apply for the interim EAD card after 90 days of my application. I just need 2-3 months of EAD work permit after which my employer will change my status to H1B.

Please let me know what you guys think.

Regards,
H

The past 2 EAD I got did not come with an approval notice. I'm not sure if my lawyer got those. Did you change address prior to approval? If yes, when?

No haven't changed my address since...

lost EAD

My EAD was lost in the mail in January, 2005. The local INS office refused to give me interim EAD. Finally I have to applly a new one (including another $175) in Febury and it is still not approved yet even I told them it is for the replacement of a lost card.

that is harsh.. i applied late march and got approved in mid april. I'm really getting tired of this.. .the lady at the USCIS said.. and i quote..

"I am not supposed to tell you this but i will anyway.. sometimes people at the kentucky (where they issue EAD cards) do not put the apartment number on the address"

What nerve
