Got a quick question.

I am all ready to apply for the application to canadian skilled worker immigration this June. However, i have a very good job offer in Singapore that i dont want to miss out. By the way, i am an international Student in USA.

I want to apply from USA since the time line is much shorter than that of in the South Asian region. Question is that:

Can i do such? I meant, i will apply from USA and then leave USA for good. I have my bro here who can recieve corresponding letters and forward to me as needed. That is not a worry.

Please advise.

yes. you can do that. However you must have completed 1 year in US before applying for PR from here. I think you might have already completed since you are a student. Your brother can receive all docs from CIC and inform you of the progress. In case they ask for Interview you have to come to US and attend.

Thanks for the answer! really appreciated. One more thing, If i apply from USA do i have to do the medicals from USA? i will provide the police and FBI report with the application. But medicals can be done only with their request. Can i do it outside of USA?

And yes, i have been in USA for last 8 yrs almost.

Yes. You can do it outside US... my medical form says:

"if you or any of your dependeants are outside of your home country for an extended period of time, you may see another designated medical practitioner"....

this can be done in any country.,

Hi Aakash

Hi Aakash, You say you've got a wonderful job in Singapore! I don't understand why would you won't to leave that job and be jobless in Canada!!!! . Anyways Canadians won't let you have the job of your will untill you get the so called CANADAIN EXPERIENCE.

Think before you leap!!!!
Good Luck!

Hey Edpat, Thanks for your input.

The job i got there, the salary is attractive and from a very reputed firm. However i dont if i will be liking it after sometime and will have opportunity to go up in the ladder. I am applying for canadian Immigration just "in-case". So that if nothing clicks back in singapore, then i will have more space to try my luck, beside my home country.

USA is out of equation, too long timeline and with H-1 is very much corrupted system with lots of uncertainity.
