Application for I140 submitted but 6 months left on L1A

Hi,

Apllication for I140 is being submitted for me and I have got 6 more months on L1A ie 7 years expires in MArch 2006.

If I140 is approved and visa is not current(EB2), will I stay in the US by means of getting an extension. I know you can get when you are in H1B but not sure about L1A.

can some one calrify on this?
