For some ppl that office is not bad but for some applicants....THAT OFFICE IS THEIR BIGGEST AND WORST **NIGHTMARE**.

i was interviewed on 8th july 2003, and my fbi name check was cleared on dec 2002...yes dec 2002. i filed may 2002. and it took that office 9 months after interview to ask for additional documents. 9 months just for that, and there was no day when i didnt check my mailbox for oath letter for 9 months.... my worst nightmare.

Hi ibm101:
Do you have a common name or any other issue pending? Personally I think Garden City Office is not as bad as people think. I had a chance to talk to couple of officers there and they were very professional. Unfortunately, in NY the number of cases are too much to handle by limited staff. They should either hire more staff or open another office for New York (e.g office delaing with Long Island or Brooklyn area).

Hi shaky,
Welcome back to the forum again. If I remember correctly your case was delayed due to some other reasons. How do you like the San Antonio area and your experience there with USCIS office. Good luck to you.

Hi shaky,
Thats true what you wrote but its not Garden City office's fault. They have too many cases to process here. Anyhow I wish you good luck and I hope your get your citizenship soon so that you can bring your mom here. I hope this time it goes 'smooth' for you.
Good luck again!
