Aply EAD by self?

Hi, I filed my I-485 in August 2001, EAD start in November 2001. I think it is time to renew EAD.
My lawyer did I-140 and I-485 works for me. The question is can I renew EAD by myself? Because the lawyer ask $500/person to do it.
Any suggestions?
