AP used to enter US - H1 Status ?

Hello -I visted India 2 weeks ago and when entering the US inspite of having a valid
stamped H1 , the immigration officer asked me for AP ( because by spouse is on EAD) and stamped AP in my passport and I94 . From what I have read this makes my status as paroled . Does that mean I have lost my H1 Status and on EAD now ?
Please advise .

Yes, that's correct. a friend of mine had the same issue and he had to transfer it back to H1.
