AP travel documents

My son received two copies of his approved advance parole. On some threads I have read, I see people mention three copies. Does anyone know the reason for two or three copies?

Secondly, what documents does one need when travelling with AP?
Thanks.

It depends on the service center ... some send 2, some send 3 -- nothing to worry
(I think TSC sends out 2, most others send 3 -- not sure though) -- there is no difference one way or the other.

List of travel docs is really simple ... all copies of AP & a valid passport.
Take a copy of the 485 receipt (if you have it) - no problems if you don't have it.

Take a few photocopies of AP with you -- in case some dumb airlines wants to retain a copy (have heard of that happening) -- Give the original AP only at the port of entry.

Thanks for the information. AP was from Texas and so I guess that explains the two copies.
