AP travel and AC21 question....!!!

I am in between jobs....as I just got laid off and have to travel to India. I will be using AP to enter into US again. Please let me know what all docs etc is required at the immigration to come in with AP.

Do I need to be with a company as well?

I am sure I will be able to find a company in 15 days after coming here. How much gap between the jobs is allowed when using EAD?

Take a copy of your I-485 receipt notice with you.
AC21 is not an issue because as your I-485 is pending and you have AP, you will be allowed to USA. There is no problem of gap between two jobs when your I-485 is pending.

Quick question - As I am one of the victims of EB3 retrogression and per predictions we will have some hope in October, what if I am in between the jobs and I get an RFE asking for EVL (Employment Verification Letter). How do we handle it then and what is the significance of this RFE?

If you are back by 15th Sept and find a new job by Oct 1st. No problem.
EB3 approvals are not going to happen before 1st and it is very unlikely ( 0.01 % ) that you can get an RFE in Sept.

Job related RFEs are serious RFEs and may delay/deny your case.
