AP Renewal question - Please help

Hi all you gurus,
Maybe these questions have been posted before, but I searched and couldn't find answers anywhere, hence this post...
On the form I-131, they ask
a) Date of Intended departure
b) Length of stay

I don't know bcos I don't need it for a specific trip. What do I put there? Current AP expires mid- July, 2004.

Also, I was looking for sample letters (to prove need for travel) on immihelp.com, but couldn't find them.

this is what I put for AP...

a) Date of Intended departure

-- Future Unforeseen circumstances

b) Length of stay
-- Maximum availability

Those answers were suggested on portal. You can also search for the 'Advance Parole cover letter' on portal. You would get there....

Yeah, I found several posts with info and the cover letter. So that's good.
But you're sure about the date and duration? I thought you were supposed to enter a specific date and duration.

Do I have to submit previous approved AP?

Hi rajudm,

I applied 1st AP and approved. I got 3 copies of AP paper. I did not use none of them. I like to renew it. Do I have to submit previous approved AP (3 original copies) along with renew application?

If your answer is "Yes" then my wife used one of them for her re-entry. She have to submit all her 3 copies as well, right?

Why do you need to give the original copies to USCIS for AP renewal? AP is not renewed...it is always fresh. i.e you would get another 3 sets of copies next time. May be you can send a copy of your previous AP.

What if you have to go out of the country when USCIS sits on the case...i.e more likely 3 to 5 months!!!!
