AP Renewal Question - Gurus Please Help!!

Gurus,

My AP is expiring on 02/22/2004. I haven't yet applied for the AP renewal. It was an oversight from my side.

I had used this AP when I came into US, in June-2003 and at the POE the I-94 was stamped until 02/22/2004.

My question is, will it be okay, If I apply for the AP before 02/22/2004. Or, do I need to have the AP approval before 02/22/2004 inorder to remain in Status?

Please Advise. Very confused and anxious.

Don't be confused.
After filing I-485 many of us have their I-94 expired but living here with status.

Even if your I-94 expires you have status since you have filed I-485.
Though it is better to have AP ready in case of emergency.
Apply it without worrying about status.

Applying AP and having approved AP on hand is nothing to do with the status. You are in status as long as your 485 is pending. And there is no renewal for AP.

AP is only needed if you are planning to travel outside of US and is required for reentry.
