AP Renewal or Reply

To All:

my first AP approved 0n 02/24/2002 has expired in 02/23/2003. I would like again. My question is

1. Will it renewal or fresh application (any difference?)

2. Can I do that at Local BCIS office at Newark, NJ?

3. How is it typically taking now a days for approval.

3. takes around 2 months..Mine received on Aug 26..No decision yet..though GC approved last week

1. It seems like these days it's a renewal. But when I had applied last Jan (2003) it was considered a fresh app since my previous one was expiring in March 2003 but they issued one that expires in Jan 2004.
2. In my opinion, you can get the AP at your local office only if it's an emergency. But you can try.
3. No idea on that. I'd like to know myself.

All AP's are new ones, not renewals.

As far as I know, anybody else with an experience otherwise?
You needed a good documented reason for Local INS to issue an AP.
