first AP : WAC-02-244-xxxxx, Approval Date - Aug 22, 2002.
(I didn't use this AP)

Now - I am applying for the renewal. And I am doing this myself without help from any lawyer ( can't pay the exorbitant fees :( )

Has anybody here recently applied for an AP at CSC - by themselves, without help from any lawyer? I would appreciate any info on this.

In particular:

1. What do you write as an explanation for why you need an AP?
2. The address to send the application.
3. how much time is it taking these days?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks

Thanks for the info.

Some more questions:

1. Is there also an option of getting the AP from the District office by appearing in person (in case , say, CSC takes a long time to approve the AP ) ? Note: even though my application is pending at CSC - I have moved to NJ. So - I will have to appear at one of NJ District Offices , if that were possible.

Some of the documentation presented at BCIS website seem to indicate that it is possible..

2. Has anybody faced any problems at the immigration while coming back into US using an AP? I have heard some vague theories that APs are somehow troublesome. Any ideas?
