I applied AP on March 23, 2007 and I will be leaving this country on June 23, 2007. How can I expediate my AP application? If I cannot receive the AP before June 23, can I leave this country and then ask my friend to mail it to me in another? Can someone tell me the similar situation? Thanks.

I believe you have to be present in the country when the AP is approved in order to use it.
Check with your attorney on this - don't assume that "your friend sending it to you" would work.
I agree with max2k1. You have to wait for your new AP to come through and then travel out of the country. One has to be in US when the AP is approved.

I am also waiting for AP. I applied on 03/28/2007 and still waiting. We are planning to go to india in july20th. We both are in the same boat. Generally Ap Is approved in NSC with in two months. This time they are taking more time.
I am planning to talk to my attorney about this. If you talk to your attorney update us.

Is there any way I can expedite the process? Any suggestion? Otherwise I have to cancel the trip? Right now how long does it take for USCIS to prove an AP application?
