Is it possible to get AP at the local INS center(so that we can get it the same day) or do we have to mail it to the processing centers. Please let me know.

Normally you should send your application for parole to the service center where your application for AOS is pending. But in under emergency situations you can go to your nearest BCIS office and request for Parole. It is entirely the discretion of BCIS officer to give Parole or not.

but some centers are strict. Calling the center may be a better bet.
