AP processing time

Today (5/21) I received the receipt notice for AP for my kid. It mentions its taking 320-355 days to process this kind of case.

Is it by mistake (as I happen to read in one of the threads)? or its indeed taking this much time now a days.

I checked my AP status on the web and it says that

Your I131 APPLICATION FOR BCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT was received on May 14, 2003. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 320 and 355 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

So I guess you are not alone. I believe that it should not take that long. I have not received the hard copy of the notice yet and I got my LIN no through the encashed check.
