Is there anybody who has applied for advance parole in Dec 2004 and not yet received it (Vermont service center). I went to the Newark center for an emergency advance parole and they said apart from death cases, the only way u could get an emergency advance parole is to apply for it by mail to the Newark center. My concern is this - would applying for an emergengy AP negate my initial application. In the meantime if I get my original AP, would that render me unable to travel because I have applied for a new one. WOuld the new one take longer to be approved or do thay approve emergency AP's faster - in a week or two (some good soul in the office told me it gets approved faster). Or would it be a better plan to send a fax request for expiditing. I know I sound confused but I am badly hoping that somebody must have had the same experience as me and might be able to help me. I would highly appreciate it.
