My wife has gone to India for vacation. Is there a limit on the no of days that she can stay on Advanced Parole. Can she stay for like 4 months.
I have applied my AP from Vermont.
Thanks.

She can stay as long as she wants(not more than a year).Your Ap will be valid for a year.
Hope that helps

But, according to my lawyer, it is not preferrable to stay outside US for more than 180 days (at a stretch) while AOS is pending

Oh..OK..There is always dicrepancies in this.. Some say 60-90 days some say 180 days some say till the AP is valid. I only hope it is at least 180 days.

No discrepancies at all ...
You can come back anytime before the AP expires ... nothing happens if you stay > 180 days or any such thing.
The AP itself is worded very clearly reg this and there is no section of the INA that makes any mention like that.

Not sure why some lawyers are telling that there is such a hidden limit.
Enjoy !

It is advisable not to extend beyond 6 weeks.
