AP issue -- please help

I am planning to go home on second week of Feb and I have sent my AP on Dec. I called INS yesterday and lady there told me it was approved on Jan 9. But the problem is neither my lawyer nor I have received it till today.

1. Where do they mail the AP? to lawyer's office or to my home address?
2. Online status still says, it is not approved yet ( it only says " this application was received on Dec 9, and taking 30 to 60 days to process....)
3. The lady at IIO verified my name, mailing address etc. and everything matched and I am wondering how she knows it was approved while AVM and online says it is not?
4. How many days it takes to receive it once it is approved?
5. I am totally confused... Please share your experience.

That was weird. If both AVM and online say that your case is still pending, then most likely it is not approved yet.
The AP will be sent to whatever address is written on the form.
Once it is approved, it's normally sent within 7 days or so.

My first AP took 4 weeks from RD till it got to my mailbox. The AP renewal took a little bit longer, around 6 weeks.
 
I am in the same boat as Chandrama.. My AP was approved on Jan16,but havne't received the approval yet. I also have bought tickets to goto india in 2nd week of feb.. Hoping the AP will be delivered by mail by then.

Chandrama, please do share the information once you receive the approval...

Lawyer Receives the AP approval

Hi Chandrama,

Just called lawyer and he had received the AP approval today and will send it to me.

AP renewal detail:
RD:12/12/02
ND:12/19/02
AD:01/16/03
Receive approval by lawyer:01/23/03

Thanks for your answer. I just got my AP approval notice from INS. But one thing is still buggin me: Online and AVM still says this case is not approved yet. Does thins means Online and AVM is not actually synchronized with actual approval database. Does that mean most of the Nov 485 case were also approved but we were not aware of..... trying to be positive here...
