AP Interview request - any idea why?

Hi, wondering if anyone had an interview scheduled for AP renewal? Little background on my case:

I-131 ND - Oct 1, 2003 (renewal)

I-485 ND - Nov 19, 2002 in Nebraska

My case is a LC substitution. Company HQ is in Chicago but my office is in San Francisco. The LC was also Chicago so both 140 and 485 were filed in Nebraska.
Was fingerprinted in SanJose. When AP and EAD renewal came up, the lawyers chose to file in CA instead of NE - not sure why.

My question is - does anyone know what would have generated the interview?

Thanks!

Anyone?

Just spoke to my lawyer - she said it's either a random security screen or I'm close to approval. Almost afraid to even hope it's the latter...

Don't Mean to Rain On Your Parade

While anything is possible, and i have no idea as to the circumstances of yoru case, I think it is unlikely you are close to approval. From what I can see NSC were working Feb/Mar/Apr 2002 cases up until the end of last year. Since that they seem to be clearing up old cases. Hopefully they move back to new cases soon. In my opinion best case you are about 7 months away from being worked and unless they speed up as part of the backlog reduction program you could be as much as 21 months away (I hope that this is not the case).

I think it is most likely a QA thing.

Sorry, hope I am wrong (but I doubt it).

Parole Interview!

Hi Pingu

Do not need to worry on this.

If your parole has applied from Chicago USCIS, then their policy is
we need to go there on the Scheduled appointment date and time.
They will ask for your ID card and the appointment letter. Then they will give Parole documents.

I also got an appointment from Chicago USCIS to get Advance Parole, as i applied for Parole at Chicago USCIS.

My file has transferred to Chicago USCIS on Apr,23,2003
I've been waiting for interview for I-485

thanks
