AP: How long does it take?

I am from VA.
Applied for AP through lawyer (to VSC i guess)
RD is 10/17/2002 for the AP.
for I485- 10/26/2001.
-- there was a RFE for I485, ins recvd response on 11/04/2002.

I am planning to travel to india on nov-27-2002 (12 days from now)


What should I do?
Should I goto Arlington office to get AP? Can I get it the same day?
