AP has expired.. need immediate advice

My wife's AP expired 2 months ago. Will it create a problem if we apply now ? or should it be applied before it got expired ? BTW, She is here.. I mean in US.

It is not a problem. You can apply AP anytime. Only thing that you need to keep in mind is that she should not go out of USA till her AP is approved!
