AP filed online on Jul22-No Receipt notice yet

I filed my AP online on Jul 22nd with Vermont service center.
after submitting the application the status was 'pending/action needed' for 3 days and then the application went thru but no receipt notice.
they billed my credit card after a week on july 25th.

I called the National service center on Aug 20 th and they mentioned I will get the receipt notice with a month from VSC.
till now,I didnt get anything.

do you think I can call VSC directly and enquire about this by giving my 485 receipt notice and my A number?
If so please let me know the VSC phone no, that I have to contact?
I dont know what to do at this situation.

can I apply for another AP again?

I was in a similar situation. I filed AP during the first week when they went online. I did not get a snail mail receipt. I tried expediting it and they just ignored it. So i called the Customer Service and asked her to do a status enquiry since my receipt date has way passed the processing dates. Wallah, in two days it was approved. I strongly believe due to some technical glitches some online applications are sitting there idle, unless u do a status enquiry.
