one of our friend's AP got expired last year but he was paroled till this year.
He thought it was ok to travel and while coming back to U.S. since his AP was expired he was told about the situation. He was given about a month's time to enter and discuss his situation with INS.

Any thoughts and if any one have gone through a similar experience please let us know.

without ap, entering us was a big risk. if he is on h status, he is ok, otherwise it may be equal abandoning the pending 485(if he has any). you may have to talk to a lawyer with details of his immigration status to know whats waiting. remmber you never know what the POA wrote on his record and that USCIS will see it one day.

This happened to me 2 weeks ago, i left for an emergency and was under the impression that the AP is valid for one year from when it was stamped.. I am unable to provide them with a new AP in time and do not know what to provide them for the 30 day deadline any advice? lawyers couldn't figure it out!
