AP experience while travelling from Canada

Hello All:

My wife just came back from Canada last week. She was travelling on AP for the first time and alone by road (across the Niagara Falls border). Though she was not questioned or anything, she just had to wait in the office to get her documents back, for about 2.5 hrs.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation?, will she have to go into the office everytime she travels?. Also the next time she travels, does she have to turn in the I-94A to the Canadian authorities, also the I-94A she has is stamped till May 07, does she have to go into the office ?

Anyone with similar experiences or having any insights or information please respond.

Thanks

We are also planning to land in Canada via Niyagra falls (to complete PR process) and want to return by using AP. We have no H1/H4 status anymore.

Have you guys travelled to Canada to complete PR process or just for tourism?

Appreciate, post the purpose of your/your'wifes trip to Canada?

Has your wife’s AP been returned? Has the officer stamped/written something on her passport or the AP? Why did your wife not show her I-94 instead of AP? Did she stayed in the CA over 30 days?

If you are a Canadian PR, then why are you also waiting for US PR ??? (since you say you want to use AP).

Doesn't PR mean that you intend to live permanently in one place or the other ??

I would be surprised if this question doesn't come up when you visit Canada or when re-entering the US.
