On Oct. 1st I came back to US from business trip.
I was having AP to re-enter in USA. My H1B Visa expired long ago.
I stood in non US citizen line.

The person behind glass asked me the another copy of AP. I said I dont have the other copy. She looked at the screen several minutes typed in lots of information. Finally aske me to go and see supervisor. I was escorted to the adjacent office. There it took another 10 minutes. Not a single question asked. They dod not took any finger printing ...neither they took any picture.

I received the new I94 card and the same original AP with the validity date in the red colored stamp as one year from the day I entered. The I94 date mataches with the same date.

Now my question is what do I do with the AP stamped with the one year valid date? I know I will return the I 94 during next trip. My next trip is scheduled by this month end. I have one more AP with me. I am planning to use it next time. Do I need to use the another AP or just show the stamp of one year validity?

Secondly why there was no finger printing and picture?

If you had two copies of AP with you, CBE agent would have taken one and given you the other one. But because you had one they had to return it to you. On your next trip you could use the one already stamped or you could take both with you. The choice is yours.

The process the CBE agent followed was the standard procedure.

Hi

I had two AP forms when I entered the U.S. (August-2007) officer asked me for 2nd copy I had it with me and gave it to him, he came back after 10 minutes gave me one of them (which was stamped) and when I asked about the other one he said I wont need it and I can use the one with stamp on it again.
Based on his comment I left the country again with the stamped AP and I am due back end of October, I hope they let me in!!!
My AP says: Valid for multiple entry on it so I guess it should be ok, I hope we get more response on this.
