Last week I came back to Los Angeles from singapore using AP for the first time. I hope this will help someone.
While boarding at singapore, the airline and immigration people asked to "SHOW" the original AP. They all very well know what is AP.
At LAX, first I went to a counter for visitors and the officer checked all the documents ( passport, AP, I-94, Customs form ) and asked me to go to counter 1 for secondary examination.
There, another officer verified all the documents with computer and asked few questions like.. father's name, mother's name, SSN number, dirver licence number.
Thats all... he then did few stamping on original AP and passport with a validity until 2004 sept. He then asked for the second original copy of AP for his file which I forgot to take. But he was ready to accept a photo copy of the AP and I was out of immigration counter within 10 min time.
