AP/EAD/travelling- urgent

hello all,
i need urgent help. here is my situation.
1. i am currently working on EAD (485 pending) since last year 2008 say for company B. i don't have AP.
2. i had stamped my passport with H1B visa which is valid till Feb'2010 from the previous company say A.
3. now my passport had expired as of Dec'2008 and i got my new possport as well. so i have both my passports old

and new one.
4. Now i want to travel to india. can i travel on my h1b stamped visa from my previous company A in my old passport

or do i need to travel on AP? your help is greatly appreciated.

If you choose to use H1B visa:
You MUST have current company's H1B.
Does not matter if it's on old passport or new.

If you choose not to use H1B:
You must apply for Advance Parole document, and have it, before you can travel abroad.

Seems to me if you are on EAD already, you should go for AP.
