AP, EAD Renewal Question

How easy is it to file EAD and AP myself? Are there any chances of getting RFE on APR/EAD renewals? My lawyer is charging through the neck for EAD/AP renewals and was looking at filing myself. Anyone has dont this? Please throw some light...

Its really easy to file for EAD renewal and AP. There are certain papers that you need to send in. The application form itself has everything described in detail.

Keep in mind that USCIS is changing the fee amount. So, send the fees accordingly.

Are there any chances of getting any RFE for renewals? That might be a problem as I will have to deal with it instead of the lawyer, that's my only concern.
 
You could possibly get an RFE on the photos... but that is if you took the picture yourself or at a place that doesn't know about INS picture rules.

Usually, renewals are pretty straight forward. You shouldn't see an RFE generated on renewal case.
