AP/EAD renewal and 797 receipt notice

Hey guyz,

I applied for EAD and AP renewal (myself) a couple of weeks back. I received the 797 receipt notice for EAD last week however i did not get it for AP yet. I did not add the letter stating the reason for AP extension. I dont know if that matters?

Did any of you were in the same situation. Pls let me know.

I heard AP processing is slow in VSC.

Allow 2-4 weeks for the receipt notice.

I did not attach a letter stating the reason for applying for AP. Could that be a reason for an RFE .... anyone
 
First off.. there is no such thing as an AP extension. Each AP is a new application.
Yes, you do need to attach a sheet for Part 7 of the AP form mentioning the reason for the extension.
Why do you say RFE ? Have you got one yet ?

I don't think reciept has anything to do with RFE. You will get the receipt soon.
 
I am still waiting for the 797 receipt. I did not get an RFE.

I wanted to know if anyone got an RFE for not submitting a reason for AP application along with the application.

Also i submitted a copy of last AP (that has photo and data of birth) ... not sure if thats enough for age proof.
