AP/EAD Renew, Comments?

My company's attorney is asking to renew my and my wife's AP/EAD, although the EAD will expire in Jan 2003, they are acting now. The company will pay all the costs. But since the expiration of EAD is still more than 4 months away, will this early action delay our I485 approval. i.e. INS will put it at the end of the queue?:confused:

Any comments?

Won't cause delay but it is a little early to renew. You can afford to wait 2 more months at the current rate, but then you never know when they'll slow down again. Lawyers tend to err on the side of caution.
