AP dates have been updated, but no approval

I just logged onto the USCIS website to check my case status. I found the latest update date on my wife's and my AP application were June 1. But when I clicked on the case number, it still said:" we received your case on Mar. 19, and it takes 150-180 days to process." Does anyone have this experience? Does the update mean someone over there is working on our cases now? Thanks.

Hi laser

I am in the same situation too

EAD/AP/I-485
RD: 24 Feb 2004
ND: 27 Feb 2004

Last updated date for both EAD/AP changed from 2 march to 26 May and then to 27 may.

and there is no update in my case status.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Expecting approval/RFE anytime now

Hi arjun 96

I filed at VSC and the receipt numbers start with EAC........

Where did you get the latest update date from? I dont see that on BCIS case status page

Hi ak2003

It's called "Last Updated Date" and not latest updated date.

You have to register with USCIS and create and account with them and then can add your existing cases to your account (by receipt numbers)
Then for every case you add in ur account, you can find the Last Updated Date for each case. It changes whenever there is an internal process on ur case at USCIS which does not mean case status change

I hope u got it

Cool... Thanks for the info, i will check it out.

Hi Ak2003,

And they also send you an email (that is what they say) when there is any change to your case status.

I have not seen any post where anybody mentioned getting an email...

The email option for the case status updates does not work from the BCIS website. Me and my couple of friends did not ever receive any email inspite of the case status being changes/updated!

No the e-mail works (just in some cases as determined by USCIS)

I received 2 e-mails when they sent me a duplicate I-140 approval notice after the original approval notice was sent back by postoffice in February due to address change.

When i received e-mail, my status message also changed

EAD & AP

Hi Expolre19,

I am in a very similar situation to yours.

485/EAD/AP RD 02/24
485/EAD/AP ND 02/27

Around the end of last month, the Last Update Date was changed to May 27 for both EAD and AP for both my wife and I. But the status is the same old mesage.

There is a disclaimer on the webpage below your status message. Pls read that. It is about the "last update date".
It says the "last update date" can change without any change in the actual status message and it is due to internal adjustments. If there is any change on the status message, an email will be generated (if you have it set up). The email works, if you have it correctly setup. Be careful if your email has "spam filter" on. The USCIS emails will fall into the spam boxes.
