All:
I filed for my 3rd AP (I-131) with a notice date of 2/25/2005. My previous I-512 (which is an approved I-131) has a validity date until 4/15/2005. And my current I-765 (EAD card) is valid until 10/15/2005.
I received a notice from VSC on April 22,2005 in which they asked me if I was asking for a renewal of my current I-512 (AP) and if so why, as according to their records the validity on my current I-512 is until 10/15/2005. I was so exasperated-they mixed up my EAD validity date with the one for my AP! In any case, I replied to their notice with photocopies of my recent AP documents. They received it on April 27,2005. And I have not received any update on it so far.
Given this situation, I would like to know if there is anything I could do at the local district office (Philly in my case) to get my AP. I need to travel outside the US on an important family matter by June 4 and am unable to make a decision on travel due to this. I realize this is an unusual situation, but any help/suggestions on this matter would be apprciated very much. (I am also contacting the Senator's office here in Philly).
