AP before travel outside USA?

Please help me clear these:
485 pending,
1). do H-1 and H-4 must get AP approval before leaving USA? just heard, otherwise will lose 485?
2). if H-1 use AP enter USA, can depedent use H-4 enter USA?

tickets and the travle date are all booked, but haven't got AP yet. do we have to cancel the travel plan?

H1 & AP

if you both have valid H1 visa & H4 visa . Please use it . Dont switch for AP's.

If you dont have valid visa stamping on your passport , then please take original copy of Approved AP with you.

If you are travelling together , following same documentation. So that we can clear explain at immigration.

(1) -- Not correct - you can use a valid H visa stamp to re-enter - it will NOT effect your 485 - you don't need to have AP
(2) YES - one person can use AP and the other can use H4 - H visa status and AP are not related.
