AP approved while out of USA. Used H1 to reenter

I had a few questions about Advance Parole and its implications to 485 and oversees travel.

To brief you on my situation :-
We applied for Advance Parole(AP) before leaving the USA and got approved while we were out of US.
And I used H-1B stamping to re-enter the US.

Following are the queries that I had :-
1) Do we have to inform USCIS to continue our I485 case, since my status has changed from paroled status to H-1B status ?
2) Can we use the new AP for our future travel abroad (eventhough it got approved when we were out of US)?
3) My wife is still in India and her AP is approved now so Can I send her the AP for her to re-enter the US ?
3) She also has a valid H-4 stamping, Which one of these (H4 stamping, AP) makes more sense to use for re-entry?

Thanks

manwithnoname, why is AP useless? It looks to me like either the AP or stamped H4 could be used.

One of my friend is waiting for his AP. He has visa stamp on his passport. When he went to local INS to check regarding his AP status, they told if he leaves to India without getting AP approved, his Green card will be cancelled. Is it true ?
