Any idea about your/wife name check pending or cleared. I just want to confirm that I-131 can be approved only if Security check is cleared.

I have no idea. Our 485 receipt date was 10/29/2003, I believe name check must be done.

I-131 (AP) and I-765 (EAD) as well I-140 are associated with IBIS security checks only. However, I-485 (AOS) involves 3 different security checks: IBIS, FP, and FBI Name Check. Thanks for the info. If what you say is correct, then I think I am OK w.r.t AP application because my IBIS and FP checks are cleared, the dreaded Name Check is still pending.

My wife's AP has been approved on 04/06, but haven't got the AP document yet. She will be leaving to India on 20th and I have to get transit visa. What should I do now? Please advise.
