AP Approval from NSC

Hello,
Did anybody get his/her AP approved recently from NSC.
I got RFE on AP, and replied. Could you please tell me how long it is taking to get AP approved since they received RFE response.
I know one guy is waiting for almost 2 months for the approval since INS received RFE response.

If anyone of you on the same boat, please response.

Folks, when you apply for AP/EAD, add a copy of your DL along with other papers. I heard several people getting RFE requesting DL copy from NSC for those applications.

DL= Driver License

Sahin,

I applied for AP/EAD on Dec. 6, 200 and no approval yet. I guess as I am from a SPecial Registration country, they are waiting for me to get registered. I have done the registration on 20th March and hoping that they will approve my papers as soon as possible. My lawyer has said that if we dont get an approval by the end of the month then she will file an inquiry with INS. I believe we can file an inquiry if they take more time than what has been posted in the receipt notice or unofficial processing time. This is my first application for AP/EAD. I have not received any RFE also. In the mean time my I-140 got approved on Feb 7, 2003.

Probably did not quite answer your question but suggestion is hang in there. There should be light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks Mutasir

Muntasir,
Thanks for your reply. It did give me some light.

However, if they wait for the registration to approve AP or other application, it will really make some problem for people like me who are not required to register even though I am from one of those countries. I dont fit in the criteria for special registration as the way my last admission to US after Sept. 30 2002. I went for register, but they did not because of this reason. I was not registered at the POE either.

Therefore, I honestly dont think they are waiting for registration.
They issued me RFE for DL copy, they could have asked me for the proof of registration. However, they did not.

I understand why your AP is getting delayed. It usually take 3-4 weeks to get the AP approvaed after I140 approval. Your turn might be soon.

Also, AVM message saying 969 days for AP to get decesion. Lets see what happens.

Advance Parole = No Special REgistration

I was wondering if you have any supporting documentation that if you enter on Advance Parole you are exempt from special registration. I have a pending I-485 with 3rd RFE recently issued asking to submit proof of registration. If I did not they are requesting I submit supporting documentation with an explanation. I did this for the 2nd RFE which was for the same. Any insight or suggestions would be great.

thanks in advance
